The volume includes the abstracts of the 16th edition of the Conference Series on Theoretical and Practical Issues on Built Heritage Conservation – TUSNAD 2013 and the summary of the study field trip to Sieu, Domnesti, Tigau, Arcalia, Beclean and to Nasaud where the participants visited several historic buildings which are significant related to the topic of the 16th edition. The event with the subject of Contemporary Conveniences in Historic Buildings was held in Bistrita. This town is an important historic centre of Transylvania, here stands one of the monumental symbols of the region, namely the Lutheran Church in the Main Square, considered an inestimable value of art and architecture history. This symbol of the town was the subject of a simultaneous cultural project held in August, 2013, namely the celebration of 450 years from the consecration of it.
